How to enjoy your Bejgl products

BAGELS

DAY 1 — ALL GOOD

Any way you serve or prepare them, they will be delicious.

Storage Overnight

Best is to put your bagels in a paper bag, that is then in a larger, loose plastic bag or plastic container. The paper will allow the bread to breathe and the loose plastic cover regulates evaporation and stops the bread from getting dried out.

DAY 2 — TOAST

Give those bagels a toast to renew that fresh baked flavor and texture.

Longer Than One Day Storage

Freeze – If you don’t eat your bagel the day of or the next day, just put the bagel in a plastic freezer bag and freeze. The fresher the bagel is when it gets frozen, the fresher it will taste once you defrost it.

To Defrost

Remove the bagel from the freezer and leave, either in the freezer bag or covered on the counter for an hour. Then slice and toast. Alternatively, if you want your bagel immediately, you can zap the bagel in the microwave for 8-10 seconds, slice, and then toast to serve.

BREAD

Bread will usually stay fresh, stored properly up to 3 days.

STORE

Store bread at room temperature in a bread box, or in lieu of a bread box, use a plastic container with a loose lid. Set the lid on the container, but don’t seal, this lets enough air in to prevent condensation, but not enough to dry out the bread. Placing the bread in a paper bag and then inside a loose plastic bag works nicely as well.

FREEZE

If you want to save some of the loaf for later, just put it in a plastic freezer bag and freeze.

Pro tip: You can slice the bread before freezing and then enjoy one slice at a time as you desire. Like bagels, the fresher the bread is when it gets frozen, the fresher it will taste once you defrost it.

Snack pack tip: You can make your sandwich in the morning as you normally would with frozen bread slices. It will thaw by snack time and keep your sandwich fixing cool in the meantime as well.

COOKIES

STORE

Cookies will keep up to three days in a sealed air-tight container.

FREEZE

If you want to save cookies for later, just freeze in a freezer bag. Allow 30 minutes to thaw at room temperature before serving. Or, my personal favorite way to eat cookies: frozen and straight from the freezer.
